| Course Description |
| Asian watercolor and ink techniques are characterized by fresh bright color and daring simplicity. In this class, Lian teaches both the "spontaneous" and "detail" styles of Chinese Watercolor as well as color pouring and blending - techniques derived from Chinese art. Subjects include landscape, animal and floral motifs. There are many demonstrations and techniques offered in this exciting class available to all levels. |

Lian Quan Zhen was a physician in Canton Province, China until 1985 when he immigrated to the United States. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from University of California at Berkeley in 1992 and a Master of Architecture Degree from MIT in 1996. Lian teaches watercolor and Chinese painting workshops nationwide in the United States, in Canada, Mexico, Europe and China.
