| Course Description |
| Each one of us possesses a strong creative ability.Yet we often stop short of our potential. We either continue with what we "know" will work or talk ourselves out of pushing through the edge to a deeper place with our creative work. Lauren facilitates your individual engagement with the creative process using innovative techniques that break through self imposed barriers. You will be guided through idea-generating exercises, visualizations and movement designed for inspiration. A variety of techniques will be explored such as traditional hand- made gesso, mixed media collage, embossing, oil and pastel sticks, drawing and acrylic paint processes. This is an excellent class for all those seeking to stimulate their hidden muse. For all levels: beginners welcome.

Lauren Mantecon is an experienced teacher and studio artist known for facilitating ways of expanding the active imagination. She has taught studio art at the University of Portland in Oregon and conducts workshops throughout the country. Her studio art has shown in places such as the Museo De La Isla De Cozumel, Mexico and Kampo Cultural Center in New York City. Lauren currently resides in Sausalito, California.
